LoyaltyWise privacy policy

Last updated 15 October 2026.

LoyaltyWise is a Shopify app made by Colourmedia. It gives a shop's logged-in customers reward points when they buy, which they can spend on later orders. This policy explains what information LoyaltyWise handles when a shop installs it, why, and how long it is kept.

Information from the shop

When a merchant installs LoyaltyWise, Shopify gives the app access to the shop's data it needs to work:

Information about the shop's customers

For each customer with points, LoyaltyWise keeps:

LoyaltyWise does not store customers' names, email addresses, postal addresses or payment details. Payment is taken by Shopify's own checkout.

How the information is used

Only to provide LoyaltyWise to the shop: to show customers their points, let them spend them, and show the merchant their customers' balances. LoyaltyWise does not sell information, use it for advertising, or combine it with information from other shops.

How long it is kept

Points balances and history are kept while the shop uses LoyaltyWise. When Shopify tells LoyaltyWise that a customer's data must be erased, or 48 hours after a shop uninstalls, LoyaltyWise deletes everything it holds for that customer or shop.

Where it is stored

LoyaltyWise runs on servers rented from Amazon Web Services. Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The only other company that receives it is Shopify, which runs the shop.

Your rights

To ask for a copy of your data or for it to be deleted, contact the shop you bought from; the shop asks LoyaltyWise through Shopify. You can also contact us directly. If you are in the UK or the EU you may complain to your data protection authority, in the UK the Information Commissioner's Office.
